Social Media Ads

Shock Tactics

As an advertiser, I've always been intrigued by the tactic of using shock value to capture people's attention and entice them to read on. When creating an ad directed at 25 to 35 year olds on Instagram, I embraced this approach with a brash and attention-grabbing design. However, the biggest challenge was finding the right balance between a striking visual and readable text that would still appeal to the target audience. Ultimately, I was able to achieve my goal by creating a visually accessible design that effectively conveyed the intended message and prompted engagement.

3D Materials

My first experience with Adobe Substance led me to create this collection of posts, which showcases my ability to create realistic textures and prints that accurately reflect the materials of the products we sell. I spent a significant amount of time perfecting the details of each texture, including the door style, tile material, countertop pattern, and hardware texture, in order to achieve a high level of accuracy and realism. The result is a set of visually striking textures that can be used to enhance the look and feel of product designs and visualizations.

print ads

Despite the growth of digital advertising, print still remains a valuable option in certain areas. While online ads have their place, it's much easier for them to get lost on a web page than it is for a full-page ad to get lost in a local magazine. Those who still subscribe to magazines do so intentionally because they want a physical copy, and print ads provide a unique opportunity to reach these engaged audiences. Additionally, designing print ads can be an exciting and enjoyable challenge for designers looking to flex their creative muscles.

Monument Signs

Original Signs

The original signage was in very poor shape. 2 locations features old signs that had been covered with banner material with the new logo. The third sign was an original sign from the 90’s, featuring lighting that didn’t work, and a style that didn’t reflect updated branding.

Concept Art

Using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Substance Stager, I developed the following concept art for fabrication.

Fabricated & Installed

My concept, following a deep dive into our branding strategy, called for a wood background with black metal framing. Our logo would be lit from the inside.
